VAG's technology is to be respected as well. In addition to the brands you mention -as I am sure you are aware, they are also responsible for Lamborghini, Bentley and Bugatti. There is some overlap with the 2.0 liter engines etc.. But aside from the Phaeton its doubtful you will see any of the larger displacement engines in any VW, Skoda or Seat.
