Retrofit auto dimming mirror

If it's as easy as e46 and f10 changing the mirror is as easy as removing plastic rear surround then twisting it 90 degrees to remove and then replace it with a mirror if your choose. Would need to check wiring is in place but as most cars are prewired for a lot of options then I guessing it will be there. If not sure there is a harness out there that can be purchased to provide power to dimming function. I personally have picked up auto dimming mirrors with homelink built in from eBay and have never had any issues. Many mirrors are also the same for differing series of BMWs. Unsure about the gt one but should be easy to check with dealer or other forums.
