I was going to do European Delivery on my GT until I heard about swapping of the wheels. In Germany you have to change from sport tires to All Weather tires in the winter season, its the law. If you do not, you forfeit your BMWED insurance. BMWED doesn't announce this very loudly on the site or brochures so I had to look to the blogs to find answers. What you do is pick up your car and drive a few miles to some guys garage and rent all season tires from him for you stay. He keeps your wheels and tires in storage till you return to swap them out and send your car on its way. (You have to return to Munich to ship your car instead of dropping it off at other ports.)
Luckily my wife's car comes due in July and I hear its beautiful in Europe then
