Performance-wise? Definitely a nice tune. Initially, I couldn't tell much of a difference in normal/comfort driving. Sport mode however put a smile on my face immediately. Very noticeable difference from stock. And all of a sudden, I'm not yearning for the 35i like I used to.
Now that I've put about 100 miles on it, Comfort mode has come a live. Certainly at the 3K RPM mark. Definitely more pull and easier acceleration even at high speeds. Easily breezed by 65-75mph traffic today. In fact, I need to be careful as I was pushing 95mph without even realizing it.
MPG economy looks good. About 28 combined at the moment. But I'm going to do manual calculations to confirm. If you're on the fence like I was....get this tune. Worth the $380.

That is the difference btwn BMS Stage1 and RaceChip/ActiveAutowerke8 ..
With RC/Active you feel it in all modes across wide band of rpms, the bms s1 is only felt in sport and higher rpms sure is not bad but after spending 2yrs with my racechip I needed something to get rid of the 28i Lag and that worked out perfectly.
Then I stepped into downpipes + ecu flash
Look at me now, with a X4 M40i (355hp/343tq stock at the crank) versus 287whp/329wtq before and I prefer everything in the 35i over the 28i.. the 5 series and X3 are heavy cars they need the 6 cylinder to move without hiccup and enjoyment, plus the value of the better engine.
