I suspect eventually I'll sell the BMS and try out the RC because you're not the first person to say the power is felt more evenly across the entire RPM range regardless of driving mode. That would be welcomed.
I hear you on the 6-engine. Personally, I LOVED the diesel I test drove in March. Talk about amazing torque. But wasn't ready to plunk down an extra $10k to get one with M package. Gotta have my nice rims :-)
For now, I'm just happy to enjoy a much "peppier" 28i that still gives me pretty great fuel economy at 28-29/MPG.

Yea I agree $380 vs $600 for RC is quite a difference but there's reasons for it..
- Weather proof casing
- Allows you to change settings
- Bluetooth option to change settings from your phone
On the other hand, Active8 is also a strong contender but installation is bit more complex than both. But its a strong tune with good quality case.
The RC can be had for around $400 too, at least thats when I sold mine here on the forums.
Other options to consider if BMS Stage1 is not enough are
- RaceChip (new module) (

- JB4 OBD2 w/ Flex Fuel wires for E85 use
- ECU Flash from a Good Tuner
