Yes. this is what happened. It just did not give the message. It reverted to 'service ready' and 'start service'. And as I wrote above, the BMW website confirms I do not need a software update. I really do not know what to think or say. I might dissable the 'office' function on the car and see if this makes any difference. But then again, how come my wife's phone work fine and mine does not? Very bizzare...
