Seriously? Just because transmission technology has progressed to the point of offering transmissions like the Steptronic w/paddles and DCT means we all need to accept it and forgo traditional manuals? Screw that. Yes, automatics and DCT's allow you to hold a gear, but I still prefer to physically select and engage that gear myself. I like the proven reliability of traditional manuals as well. I'm really curious to see the long term reliability and potential repair costs of the DCT and DSG transmissions in the future.
