Well if you think about it, all CF parts are attached to some substrate to provide strength typically unless you're talking body panels. My CF hood (VIS did a deal with me) has a fiberglass substrate which the CF is laid on top of.... What I do is basically the same process except I use the stock parts to ensure proper fitment.

Beyond that I use the same processes the manufacturers use when producing their CF parts. I use real carbon fiber cloth, so the parts are basically OEM look and feel when complete because they are produced in the same manner...
