It depends on whether or not you have Adaptive Drive and what option you select - 'Chassis only' alters roll bars, dampers, and steering response. 'Drivetrain only' alters throttle and shift response and restricts 8th gear. Personally, I have sport configured to chassis only and when I want the lot, I select sport+great thanks - not explored sp+ yet - so selecting S on gear lever when wanting that - which suggests I have all of the sport features then - which is what I hoped - although VDC and active steering may or may not dilute that

You have to move the gear selector sidewaysand then back again to get to S7 then
