I use disposable
microfiber polishing pads for applying polish/wax to my cars and just use the towels for wiping off. I haven't had any issues other then after about 10 washings they seem to lose their softness - then they become rags. Even though I wash them separately, they still pick up lint strings that seem to weave their way into the towels.
Oh yeah, don't forget to cut the tags off before you use them!
