Seriously, using that logic, the 5GT and X6 should have killed any brand goodwill BMW had. The M5 plays music instead of having an actual good exhaust note. Non M cars lack limited slip diffs. F30's require spark plug changes every other oil change (originally listed as every). The list is long, but just as M cars provide a certain amount of credibility to BMW, the V cars correct a lot of what Cadillac does wrong, but if you just look at the last five years, I'd say that Cadillac is more impressive than BMW and I'm waiting to actually be able to drive an ATS before buying an F30/F31.
Five years ago if you told me I'd delay a car buying decision based on what Cadillac was doing, I would have had a hard time believing it. Of course if you'd told me that Subaru and Toyota were teamed up building a rwd sports car with an engine that had both DI and port injection to correct the shortcoming of all DI-only engines, I wouldn't have believed that either.
