i second that shit! i hate servers that bitch, i worked in the restaurant business for 4 years, and everwhere i went it was the same shit, servers just bitch bitch bitch when the dinner rush comes. of course there were the exceptions, but yeah being a server doesn't pay much, you have to EARN your damn tips, you signed up for the job knowing that you've gotta EARN your tips, don't just expect them after you give half ass service. the customer doesn't eat at your restaurant to follow your silly rules, you have a freak'n job because of your customers.
