The F10 M5 came out as a 2012 model (in Europe & Canada) (2013 for the United States). So if a facelift model comes as a 2014 model, it actually makes sense!

As for regular 5 series production....
E60 5 series came out in 2004. Facelift came as a 2008.
F10 5 series came out in 2011. Facelift comes as a 2014.
Based on this... It is coming a year sooner then the previous E60!
