The M5 caliper will not fit the 5-Series carrier... the 528/535/550i use different carriers and hubs from the M5. The 5-Series hub may be compatible (mount-wise) with the M5 carrier, but the M5 caliper is not compatible with the 5-Series carrier. The M5 carrier is shared with the M6 and no other BMW.
Longtran already proved that, thus his use of custom caliper brackets in his M5 brakes conversion to his wife 535i.
If this is to be done the right way using OEM parts then this is a $3900+ job, without labor. You can get an F10 Brembo GT BBK (365mm) for the front for $4000 is you really ask around. |

Has anyone done this before? going from 535i brake setup to M5 setup. Your answer is much appreciated. Feel free to expand as much as possible as I don't know much and like to learn.
