Found a tool called 'release tool' part number 83300496588... Costs £60 about $90... Extortionate for such an item.
Anyone used this tool? Does the whole thing come out exposing the wires? If so is it easy to remove the socket and once removed do you have enough clearance to solder some wires in the back of the socket?
At this price I'd really want to know if it is possible to do what I want before parting with my hard earned money
Any help gratefully appreciated.
