I highly doubt installing a CAT back or axle back exhaust will void your engine's warranty. Look up "Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act" for warranty justifications.
Also, keep in mind installing an exhaust isn't going to get you much HP (maybe 4hp). You'll need a tune to extract power out of any bolt-ons.
