I'm finding noise can be dealt with if you shoot to the right and have some decent NR software. This is also a 24-105mm at f4 and 1/20 sec. ISO 1600. Not bad for a cheapie T1i. (Which, btw, are now selling at the same cost as a Canon S100 compact.)
