Not in the UK it isn't, diesel is more expensive than petrol here also. £1.35/l for Petrol vs. £1.39/l for diesel according to our UK averages, thats $8.44 and $8.69 per US Gallon respectively.

edit: Actually, Super Unleaded (98 RON) is more expensive than Diesel.
Just curious. What is the favorite alternate transport other than car in Uk? Bus, train? What about in less developed areas? I'm guessing they're are some great bicycle lanes over there?
