The GT is something most people either love or hate (mostly on looks, many have never sat in nor driven one). I happen to like mine (love very few things!).

It's great for burning a lot of miles in a day - my longest was about 15-hours and nearly 1,000-miles...no pains, just a bit stiff when done. The i6 is nicer on fuel than the v8, and for most people, still has plenty of power, so I felt it was a better overall compromise (would have preferred one of the many diesel options available elsewhere, though). My 2011 has proven to be pretty reliable.

If yours has not had the VANOS recall work done on it, you should try to schedule that. Check the BMW website to verify it applies to your model and year, but most of the i6 engines need it. If you're lucky, all they have to do is replace 8 bolts (but the engine must be room temperature to finish the job and torque them down, so it can take awhile).
