not quite sure how accurate that is. VMR has been around for a few years now and their reputation is pretty good. cast wheels in general need to be heavier to get the same strength as forged.
I have been around the forums for several years and haven't seen any "cracked" threads for either of the wheels mentioned. having known many people who had VMR wheels, I have never heard of any issues
