Depends on which tire profile we discuss.
255/45-18, 1% taller than OEM
8.5" wheel as recommended, 8-9.5" allowed
255/40-18, 2% shorter than OEM
9" wheel as recommended, 8.5-10" allowed
I.e. a square 255/45-18 setup will fit fine on staggered style 350 wheels. The 255/45 is also much closer to OEM tire size compared to 255/40.
