The 12 cylinder engine will remain for Rolls Royce, Bentley, and presumably Maybach branded Mercedes vehicles. For now at least. And it will probably be outlived in those brands by Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, and a few boutique brands like Pagani. Those latter two source their engines from Mercedes, by the way, so the three pointed star may be one of the last manufacturers to see a V12 engine come out of its factories, probably sometime between 2020 and 2030.
The V12 from the Phantom and imminent Cullinan will derive a variant for the next series of Ghost. Which will find home in the 7er and the X7. But is no ordinary V12 engine.
