550i Owners, Need Your Help

If some of you guys could do something for us we would greatly appreciate it.

On the N63/S63 downpipes, BMW shows a change in downpipe production with a break at the 04/2011 build dates. From our understanding they switched from a 2-Bolt style bottom flange to a slip on style downpipe.

Had a customer order downpipes for his 2013MY (04/2012 build date) X5M and his were still the 2-Bolt style downpipes, yet we have had an xx/2011 build date car with the slip on style.

Just wondering if any of you that have either replaced your downpipes with an aftermarket, or if you wouldn't mind crawling under the car, looking at the bottom of the downpipes where it meets up to the midsection and seeing if it is a 2 bolt flange that meets higher up along the side of the bell housing, or if the downpipes come down a decent bit further and it's a slip on style exhaust. If you could report in this thread with what style and the month/year your car was made (Can be found on the VIN tag inside the driver’s door) I would appreciate it greatly!

Thanks,
-Chris
