Well, by character I meant not not just design/looks, but more so the fact that back then there weren't any computer chips controlling everything. Back then, it was pure man and machine. It was more challenging - if you lost control, it was your skill (or lack of) that would get you back in control. If something broke, you could probably fix it yourself. Now, its a bunch of computer chips and technology intervening. Makes things a lot safer, but ehh...

trudat. but when i had switched off traction control on my car and in winter it became a REAL biatch to drive still, so you at least are given a choice.
