When I had my Infiniti G35x and FX35, I was rotating my tires every oil change w/o any TPMS issue. If BMW uses a similar system, your TPMS wouldn't need to register the new rotations.
However, non of my BMW service advisors recommended tire rotations on any BMW (even squared setup). There must a reason behind it, or maybe they're just lazy.
