I prefer it on the right, and cruise controls on the left, as that's consistent with the majority of other cars I've had over the last 10 years. Perhaps it's becoming a standard, which would be a good thing. Back in the day, it was a lottery when you got in a car of a different make whether the indicator stalk was on the left and wiper stalk on the right, or the other way round. Thankfully there was eventually an agreement on a consistent location.
