Installation Success!

I got the mew grills installed tonight. I'll take some pictures tomorrow. I ended up using a thin plastic "taping knife" I found at the Home Depot. Essentially a thin, plastic spatula. I pushed the plastic blade between the grill and the edges on the bumper and worked the blade back and forth to try and wedge the grill out. It was pretty scary, but I eventually got it to work.

The above DIY may work by loosening the bumper from the top. But the problem is that the F10 hood line is much higher up than the E60. Even if you were to loosen the front bumper, I'm not sure you could get behind the grills because the radiator would still be in the way coming from the top. You may have no choice other than to wedge the grills out like I did.

There is a risk you can break the parts on the bumper where the grills clip in, so try to be gentle when you work the old grills out.

Next up for my car: window tint!
