A few years ago, I told myself that I would never buy a 4 cylinder, moreso 2 liter 5 series but times have changed and technology has been kind to the humble 520d. The new F10 520 is no longer the snail it was once in it's past generations and I was happy with the performance that I chose the 520d over the 328i which cost the same.
Since this is the wife's car, mods will be limited. Maybe some 19 or 20 inch wheels and possibly springs or KWs.

Dont worry amigo, 520d is a beast. Im based in malaysia and it cost slightly north of 100k USD. But the 328i is way cheaper than 520d and its a fun car too. Im currently driving 528i 3litre.
