The BMW V-series. Doesn't seem like the most brilliant naming scheme (it could be confused with the engine designation), but there are multiple reports about this new lineup, these reports have been verified by the BMW brass, and new test mules were spotted around the road and track.

The international media is reporting that although the mule pictures below looks very similar to the X6, this is more of a "crossover" vehicle that will mix the elements of a sedan with the extra comfort and and luxury offered by larger SUVs. It is supposedly 5-series in dimensions, so think of it as a 5-series with extra space in the interior and a higher ride height. The car will not be as tall or large as an X6, although it will have the same characteristic sloping rear roofline.
