I'm afraid in Europe and particularly in the UK diesel is more expensive than petrol. Once diesel got more popular the tax has gone up on it!
However, i will never buy another petrol car. Test drove a Porsche Cayman about a month ago and felt it was slow. Got back into my 320d which has 50% more torque and 80 less BHP than the Cayman and it felt like a rocket.
