My wife and son bought me the Bimmertech CarPlay MMI, which is an upgrade to the
Bimmertech Rear View Camera Retrofit MMI that they bought me for Father's Day 2021.
I just did the install and removed the MMI, harness and wires for the Rear View Camera. Anyone interested in picking this up and getting a rear camera for their older BMW? This one was flawless in operation and is in excellent shape. I reused the cables from the MMI to the display, so that cable is brand new.
Price for the complete kit from Bimmertech is ≈ $600.
They sell the camera only for $300...others seem to have it for a lot less, but I can't speak to the quality of the camera or kit.
