I just did my lowering last week, it wasn't that hard at all, but you do need a buddy to help you take the strut out. I took the f/r strut out with losing only top mount and bottom mount. well, the front you have to lose top, sway link and bottom. You don't need to take anything else, and that is the trick to get it done faster.
If you don't have EDC then coils is good for you, but if you have EDC then good luck, you just lose your EDC mode.
