M5 is a whole new monster, but was out of question for me since the love of my life wanted an xdrive.
Back when I had deciding power for purchasing...I drove the 535(after choosing it over the 528) and 550 repeatedly -- in the end, I chose the 550 just because I loved rocketing onto the highway so smoothly without the wifey and daughter feeling too overwhelmed haha.
We were supposed to eye the 528 and debate between that or an E-Class from Mercedes. My natural inclinations piloted me into the 550...so I could hit two birds with one stone; spouse receives xdrive while I am rewarded speed/power to match the way I outfit my machines.
