Guys, if you look at this car and look at the past 5 series they all share the same line EXCEPT the E60. They all have a simple design. Look how ugly the e39 look in that group pic. They all look ugly and bland in the group pic.
what makes the 5 series look good is the sport package and it has always been this way. even the E60 545 looks great. The sport package is what transform the 5 series from a boring look to a jaw dropping look. Then you move up to the M-sport then the M5.
You can tell that this car belong to the 5 series family. you cant tell that with the e60. even the dash has a similar flow just as the previous generations EXCEPT the E60.
Some say this car looks likethe current 3 series and 7 series. I too think it looks like a 3 series in some ways. however if you look back, the only "era" of cars that doesnt have similar lines are the e90 pre gen 7 series and the e60. those all have totally different lines.
the e36, e39 and e38 all have similar lines.
