spend the money! it's the only thing touching the ground on your car. I would much rather spend 1K in tires than 10K in hospital bills. trust me.
my coworker totaled his e39/m5 because he gambled on some used tires. its not like he couldnt afford, he just cheap-ed out at the wrong part and lost the entire car instead. the dude was crying on the side of the curb when we went to pick him up. luckly he was ok.
