I've read the thread @ferrarif1 made documenting his install and want to be fully prepared when I go in.

Have any of you who did this install did it without buying the m5 crossmember?

And if it is truly needed is it:

1 Crossmember
2 Hangers
4 Hex Nuts
4 Washers

For the hangers part number 18207832991 brings up multiple options on getbmwparts. Which hangers from what m5 do I order for the 550

Also will my stock dp be fine? I have the full competition exhaust.
