To each his own, but from my experience with 2 other AVIN headunits, you shouldn't HAVE to wait half a minute for the headunit to boot just so it doesn't mess up, in order to go about your day.
None of their previous head units had that problem.
But hey, if the unit is worth it enough for you to deal with that, then I envy your patience. For me, it's unacceptable. Especially when you just want to leave asap by putting your car into reverse, and this unit corrupts the screen to where you can't even see the OEM reverse camera.
