steering failure
2014 520d 40k miles
total steering rack replacement !!!
I found 2 sheared bolt heads laying on engine under cover, and loud crunching from steering wheel.
10 days later a complete new steering rack, cost me £££ as out of warranty. Bmw only had a contribution to the parts.
I have kept the bolt heads, as look like metal failure and not shear force.
What are my chances in court with bmw, small claims for me to not have to spend any more big money?
