again, I feel shafted living in Japan... my insurance this year going forward was 230000yen-ish = 2480 dollars. have total coverage on any dmg I do to ppl/things/cars and if I drive my car off the cliff I get about 70% of my car's MSRP price
btw no records but not very good rate since I have to have no record for about 5-6 years till I get good rate.
