I currently drive a 520d saloon (2009) and get 41-42mpg (imperial) in the winter, 43mpg summer. This is with mixed town and motorway driving.
The newer engine technology is supposed to be better so I am looking forward to my new GT, and even better mpg than I am getting now.
Thanks for your input Stonehenge - good to see you are already achieving a great mpg.
