had the same issue, you can try to undo slightly the screws that are against the front side of the cover against the car, i.e. when you open the roof from outside you can see toward the front of the horizontal cover against the car screws, try to release them a bit, in my case it resolved the issue and got the solution from the forum, apparently to do with friction of the screws against the plastic material.
