Navigation Unit Restart?
Not sure what to call it, but the center screen (navigation) completely shut off and restarted on me today about 4.5 hours into a 5 hour drive.
Just after I switched audio sources from my iPod under the center console armrest to bluetooth audio from my iPhone and it just went blank, and everything restarted. the "BMW Connected Drive" graphic was displayed and then it informed me that my route guidance was interrupted and asked me if I'd like to resume route guidance.
It was a minor inconvenience, and everything seems to be working as it should now, but it's giving me some concern.
Is the occasional restart like that "within normal limits" of operation, or should I ask the dealer about it whenever I'm there next?
