I was checking on the specs for the iDrive controller and think that other than country specific specs, there isn't any mention of a different controller whether you have opted for Nav or not (so the NAV button is always there) - although I pretty much doubt the Nav hardware is installed, you could see at RealOEM that Enable Codes are available for Initial and subsequent activation. You might want to check with your dealer to ascertain.
