I would like to join the this-was-not-so-easy club but I got it done and it was worth the scraped up forearms and bloody knuckles.

I did not have the courage to use the pulling method and instead did it the original way that ended in 3 hours, loads of cursing, and complete satisfaction.

I bought my OEM all black M performance grills from ECS Tuning and swapped the all black slats with the chrome/black stock slats.

Now that I have the experience, I could do the job in about 30 minutes using LACSTER's original method that accesses the grills through the engine compartment. I still would not have the courage to use the pulling method. I hope to never have to do it again as it was a huge PITA.

Big thanks to LACSTER for his write up and all of the people in the later threads who said it was NOT easy. Your frustration helped me persevere and finish the job.
