Sorry, Clutch Delay Valve ("CDV"). The theory is that there is a small connector valve at which point hydraulic fluid is somewhat restricted, effectively slowing down the actual clutch action in order to avoid potential damage. For anyone who has driven manuals, you'll have to adjust your shifting style to compensate.
