Yet it would hold its value much better than a petrol slurping 550i.
The power output has been rumored to be 280kw - on a german board there was some sort of info about this engine being placed in the 7 series (750d) also.
Lets just say there would be a little bit more power, as it being an ''M'', we would be looking at around 390-400hp.
I don't know who wrote that article but 500+ hp is a joke for sure.
