You'll still be able to see/shoot the Milky Way. It's just that scattered light from the Moon will make the sky blue instead of black and wash out the Milky Way a bit. Reduce the exposure by a stop or even two if the moon is full. This is a 10s exposure from a full moon night for example - you can still see the Milky Way, just not as brightly.
