Holy crapsicles. That is the first time I've ever seen a diesel rev to 5500rpm (and still making usable power).
Even Audi's TDI LMP-1 cars
don't go over 5k!
I thought there was a physical limitation in the burn rate of the fuel that presented an RPM limitation-- can that be compensated for with ludicrous amounts of boost or something?
I have a feeling this thing won't work nearly as well on 40-cetane diesel (which is the US minimum value) which may be one reason why they don't want to bring it here.
