I have to disagree with this. You can wash your car with surfex-hd as much as you like to. It eats dirt like nothing else I have ever seen and is very common among detailers in Europe. It is in fact strong enough to get rid of most brake dust. But unless you go crazy with a strong solution, it won't even strip off the wax on your car.

Iron-x works in a different way though.
