I'd be more concerned about the 4" diameter outlet, since the factory muffler outlets are about 3-1/2" apart, center to center, the 4" dia. tips will be a very tight fit -both side to side and up against the 550 standard diffuser.
Its worth a try, you can always return the tips to Summit and go with 3" tips like the ones I installed

Is it possible to cut downstream of the flapper valve instead of upstream of it and just trim the Borla tip down then weld it?
